Student Entrepreneur of the Year

The Appalachian State University Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award will be presented during the 2009 spring semester to an Appalachian State undergraduate student who has exhibited exceptionally meritorious entrepreneurial achievement. Students who have started businesses, exceptional on-campus programming, new clubs and organizations, as well as community service projects are all encouraged to be nominated. The award will be presented to the winning student at the annual Young Entrepreneurs Symposium on April 1st, 2009. Appalachian State’s Center for Entrepreneurship is responsible for the management and oversight of this award competition.

The Award
A $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to the winner(s).

Eligibility
Nominees may be any full-time undergraduate students enrolled at Appalachian State University graduating no sooner than December, 2009. Individual students or teams of students may be nominated. In the event that the winner is a team of students, the scholarship will be divided equally among team members. Businesses must be at least 50% owned by students.
