7th Annual Entrepreneur Summit

Come learn from the experts at the 7th Annual Carole Moore McLeod Entrepreneur Summit on October 24 at Appalachian State University.

More than 40 business owners from all over the southeastern United States will share their stories and participate in panel discussions on adventure sports, agricultural industries, entrepreneurship opportunities in alternative energy, non-profits, family businesses, women in entrepreneurship, music industries, hospitality & tourism, green industries, e-commerce, start-up challenges, how to offer excellent customer service, marketing strategies and resources for small businesses and start ups.

Companies represented will include Footsloggers, French Swiss Ski College, Canyons, Boone Take Out Express, Best Cellar, Boone Saloon, Peabody’s Wine and Beer Merchants, Turtle Toes Footwear, Beyond Cargo, A3 Technologies, American Emergency Vehicles, Hospitality Mints, Chetola, Split Rail Records, Blackpaw Entertainment, JHE Production Group, Keystone Products, Print Marketing, NeboWeb, We Sell Restaurants, CentDev Properties, TRS Consulting, Lyons Construction, Global Shippers Association, Do it to Julia, Farmers Fresh Market, SCYNEXIS Biotech and more.

Multiple concurrent sessions run at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the Walker College of Business on the fourth floor of Raley Hall. Click here for the schedule.

The entrepreneur summit is free and open to the public. No registration is required, but seating is limited. Parking is available in the Rivers Street parking deck. The entrepreneur summit was named for Carole Moore McLeod in recognition of her gift that provides ongoing support of the program. She is a 1981 business graduate of the Walker College of Business.
