Creative Juice Competition

Creative Juice is a collegiate competition which will challenge student teams to create value while communicating a message of environmental responsibility through the use of imagination, innovation and creativity around the use of a “throw-away” item. Teams will record their experience via video and upload to YouTube for judging.

Here's how it works: The competition is open to students enrolled in a participating university or community college in an under-graduate degree program. Teams may consist of 3-5 students with all members registered on the Creative Juice Competition website prior to 11:59pm EST on 9-10-08. The “throw-away” item will be revealed online at 9:00am EST on 9-11-08. Teams will use as few or as many of the “throw-away” item to create value or meaning while communicating environmental responsibility. Teams will capture the 10-day experience showing and explaining the created value via video and upload to YouTube. Videos need to be between 3-5 minutes and content appropriate for a general audience. Teams will have until 9:00am EST on 9-20-08 to complete their project. Videos will be evaluated on content and creativity, not production quality. There will be no limit to the number of teams participating in the competition

Here is how teams will be evaluated: Judging will be based on the team that best demonstrates the following in order of importance: 1) Originality and creativity, 2)Entrepreneurship and Innovation, 3) Environmental responsibility, 4) Critical thinking skills, 5) Team building and leadership.
