"The entrepreneurship classes have taught me more about business than I learned in all my other classes. The hands on experience is priceless."

2008 Winter Newsletter

There is a lot of excitement on campus surrounding entrepreneurship, and we are busy trying to develop new academic and co-curricular programs to help students and citizens throughout our region. Hundreds of students are taking advantage of our new course offerings this year. We have a number of new programs that focus on learning outside the classroom, including the brand new Dale Tweedy Mentoring Program for Entrepreneur Scholars, which was just announced this week. On the academic side, a new concentration in entrepreneurship for management majors started in the fall of 2007, and a new minor in entrepreneurship for non-business majors will be available in the fall of 2008. Every student on campus now has the ability to add entrepreneurship to their studies!

Each newsletter will highlight just a few of our upcoming programs. If you want to learn more about the Center and how you can become involved, or would like to subscribe to our newsletter, please send an email or give us a call - Bryan Toney, toneybc@appstate.edu / 828-262-6196 or Julia Rowland, rowlandja@appstate.edu / 828-262-8325.
