The Association of Student Entrepreneurs (A.S.E.) is open to everyone at Appalachian State who is interested in starting their own business. You don’t have to be a business major! Each meeting includes FREE PIZZA and most have a guest speaker, usually a business owner from the region or state. As a club, we travel to places like Chicago to attend C-E-O (Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization) conferences and to study local businesses. We will also be visiting Nashville’s Belmont University’s Center of
Entrepreneurship in April 2008. We also participate in events such as the Young Entrepreneurs Symposium on February 25 and the Carole Moore McLeod Entrepreneur Summit (in October— attendance gives you a chance to win a free iPhone!!) when over 40 entrepreneurs come to Appalachian to share their personal business experiences. In the fall, we have a “Pitch Your Idea in 90 Seconds” contest with great prizes ($1000 top prize), and in the spring we host the Extreme Entrepreneur Tour (coming again on Feb. 29, 2008), comprised of an elite group of speakers who have started million dollar companies before the age of 25.
