Travel to Spain Summer 2009

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to learn about international entrepreneurship (BUS 3145) and travel to Spain this summer. This course is open to all business and non-business students and has no prerequisites other than junior standing. It can used to fulfill requirements for the Management Concentration in Entrepreneurship, the new Minor in Entrepreneurship for non-business students, and the International Business major or minor. It can also be used as a 3000-level elective for all other business majors. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2009.

BUS 3145 is offered in cooperation with the Univeristy of Alicante. The 13 day program will include a 5 day course in international entrperneurship, an opportunity to work and make friends with European stduents, visit tourist sites along the Costa Blanca, vist local companies, explorr beautiful beaches and enjoy local nightlife. Tentative dates are June 30 - July 13, 2009. Cost is $1,600, not including airfare. For more info, Dr. Rachel Sinnar, Raley 4092, shinnarrs@appstate.edu, 262-7314.

Enrollment is limited. You must be a junior as of Spring 2009 and you can only enroll in the course with the permission of the instructor. To apply, submit the following to the instructor by January 31: A one page resume, a 1-2 page statement about what you expect to achieve by participating in this course and how it will benefit your long-term career objectives, a recommendation from a faculty member and a $300 deposit. ASU reserves the right to cancel or alter the program format or to change costs in case of conditions beyond the University's control.
