Alumnus Richard Stroupe's business, TRS Consulting, recognized as one of the best places to work.
Richard Stroupe, owner of TRS Consulting, was recognized by the Washington Business Journal as owning one of the best places to work in the greater Washington, DC area.
The Business Journal recognized 50 companies in four categories as Best Places to Work. The rankings were based on nominations and surveys. That link includes a video clip of TRS’ Bruce Morton speaking about the honor.
Stroupe, who founded TRS is 2001, is also an advisory board member for Walker College’s Center of Entrepreneurship and Computer Information Systems department.
Jeff Reid, '93 MGT, awarded the 2009 ASU Young Alumnus Award
Jeff Reid was recently awarded the Young Alumnus Award, one of four honors given annually by the Appalachian Alumni Association. It is given to individuals for their exceptional service to the University and accomplishments in their career. Jeff is a board member to the university’s Center for Entrepreneurship.
Julia Rowland, assistant director of the Center for Entrepreneurship recognized
Julia Rowland received a 2009 Outstanding Customer Service Award from the Boone Chamber of Commerce and the 2009 Women of Influence Award from the ASU’s Women’s Center in April of this year.
